Kolob Canyon

Posted on

This week has been a lazy one and I’m grateful for it! So nice to relax and be home with family.

Last Saturday morning we packed up the car, finished deep cleaning our place and said goodbye to our first home. Although the basement apartment lacked several amenities that we wanted, had few windows/very little natural light and was fairly old, we loved it. If we could pick it up and take it with us to Portland ($410 rent and all) we definitely would have! It is sad to leave our quant first home but happy that we are upgrading : ) I can’t wait to move into our new place in Lake Oswego, Oregon!

Saturday was our last day in Provo and probably will be for several years. Crazy to think how different the city will be by the time we go back!

We took the long way home to California to see family before moving to Portland. The extra long route included stops at a few southern Utah parks.

Thanks to a stormy day, we could only visit one place on Saturday so we chose to drive through Kolob Canyon. We think the rain made the canyon exceptionally beautiful.

And sometimes the clouds would move just right so we could see the beautiful colors at their best.
