TEDxBYU

Posted on

The one activity that I feel like I missed out on during my college career is the annual TEDxBYU event. Lucas and I went this year but missed out on the previous years because we didn’t know about it! We love TED talks. For those who are unfamiliar, TED talks are 15-minute lectures about “ideas worth sharing,” which includes just about every topic under the sun.

The official TED organization offers videos and podcasts of talks from industry experts/influentials, all of which are available to view for free online. Local events like this one on BYU’s campus feature local experts/influentials or those studying to become experts. A handful of the speakers we heard from were BYU students and although they weren’t the best public speakers in the group, I loved the ideas they shared.

There are several TEDxBYU 2014 videos you can view here (all worth watching) but I’ve included my three favorites below. I hope you find them as inspiring and entertaining as I did!
