LA Summer Wedding

Posted on

Last weekend Lucas and I flew to LA for his cousin Michaela’s wedding. It was so great to spend a weekend with his family! This wedding was incredible, every detail was classy and beautiful.

I’m so glad we fit all 7 of us in the tiny booth!

Saturday morning everyone drove home, but Lucas and I stayed until our flight Sunday morning. Our hotel had two shuttles, one that went to the airport and one that went to Manhattan Beach. Saturday when we were free to do whatever, we took a bus to the beach.

Our friend Austin from home recently moved to Manhattan Beach for his job so we called him when we got there and coincidentally were only 4 blocks away from each other. It was great to see him, catch up a little and have a mini high school reunion with some other friends that were visiting him for the weekend. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture. But it was wonderful!

These beautiful succulents are EVERYWHERE in Southern California. I love it.

Wahoo’s Fish Tacos was our lunch choice because it was super close and sounded decent. Turned out to be great! Excellent fish, chicken and pork tacos. If you’re in the area, stop by!

Here is one of the many news crews that were on the beach on Saturday. Early that morning a swimmer was attached by a shark. The man attacked is okay now, or so I read online.

Paradise Bowl - Manhattan Beach, CA Acai Bowls www.charlesevelyn.wordpress.comParadise Bowls is a smoothie/acai bowl shop and if you get the chance to go we highly recommend it! On our honeymoon, we found a place similar to this while driving through Santa Cruz. It was fun to pretend we were on our honeymoon again, even if it was only for a few minutes : )

We had a great time this weekend but are happy to be home! (mostly to get away from drinking LA water – it’s disgusting!)
