Egyptian Drake

Last week we ate out more than usual. I’d say I regret it, but the restaurants we went to were SO good! Here are the best two…

First: Apizza Scholls

Like most people, I’ve consumed my fair share of pizza. However, I have never had pizza better than the “Apizza Amore.” Just imagine a super thin crusted pizza with mozzarella, fresh basil and thin slices on cured pork shoulder. I’m sure there are more wonderful ingredients in it I just can’t remember them. It’s a must-have-at-least-once-in-your-life, if not every day pizza : ) Thanks Evan and Kelsey for introducing us to this place!

Matching sandals. Nice.

Second: Dar Essalam – Moroccan Cuisine

Our friend Brady raved about a Moroccan place in Wilsonville that he loved so much he dreamt about it. So naturally, we had to try it. The menu is a little intimidating, so we all ordered exactly what Brady ordered. We figured if it was “one of the top 5 best meals he’s ever had” we should trust his choice. After three small intro courses, we had beef oxtail with an incredible apricot-something sauce and loads of pita bread. It was delicious! IMG_3821_1Morrocan Cuisine - Portland, OR

The kind gentleman who took this photo doesn’t have the best camera aim… but we couldn’t leave without a picture with “Egyptian Drake” and the other waiter who calls him that : ) Fun waiters are the best.
